Elizabeth Johnston, BSN, RN serves as the Structural Heart Coordinator at Billings Clinic in Billings, Montana. She graduated summa cum laude with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, Kansas. After receiving her BSN, she worked for several years in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit before transferring to the Cath Lab. She traveled for many years as a Cath Lab/EP RN and interim Nurse Manager/Director, until she decided to put down roots in Montana. After spending more than 10 years on call, she moved into her current position, solidifying her as an integral and lasting part of Billings Clinic Cardiology. In addition to her primary role, Elizabeth serves as the Cardiology Clinical Research Coordinator for multiple clinical trials, as the Registry Site Manager for three NCDR Registries, and as the EP/Structural Heart Quality Manager. Elizabeth is passionate about quality and improving clinical outcomes utilizing evidenced-based practice and comprehensive, multidisciplinary process improvement. Her dedication and persistence led Billings Clinic to become the only designated HeartCARE Center in the Northwest. Elizabeth is relentless in the pursuit of quality, consistency and safety, and continues to pave the way for increased access to quality care in the state of Montana and beyond.
