Megan S is the RN Chest Pain Program Manager for Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend in Springfield, Oregon. She graduated from the University of Oregon with a BA in Spanish and Oregon Health and Sciences University with a BSN. Megan has worked as an RN for 9 years in Cardiac Surgery, Neurology, and Cardiology and is a Progressive Care and Stroke Certified RN. Megan's passion for educating and improving outcomes for community members with chest pain, heart attack, and cardiac arrest comes from her uncle passing away at age 43 of an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest with a massive MI. Through the American College of Cardiology guidelines and with the support of the NCDR and Citizen CPR Foundation, together as healthcare workers, our daily contributions can have a positive impact on our community and on our families.
