John Jirout, BBA, RN
Mr. John Jirout joined the American College of Cardiology as an NCDR Clinical Quality Advisor in March of 2017. He began his career in sales and marketing for technology companies after receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from James Madison University. He later realized a passion for nursing and patient care, particularly in the field of cardiology. He pursued and completed an Associate’s Degree in Nursing in his home state of New Jersey and went on to work in a cardiothoracic surgical step-down unit, where he flourished and settled into the role of Nurse Manager. Mr. Jirout continued to advance his keen interest in cardiovascular care by taking a position in the cardiac cath lab, where he honed his skills and knowledge for the next 6 years. Now having been with NCDR for over 7 years, in positions devoted to supporting research studies and promoting quality improvement, he continues to utilize this valuable experience to provide education and clinical support to participants in multiple NCDR Registries in his current role as Clinical Quality Advisor.
