Misty Theriot, BSN, RN, is the Valve Clinic Coordinator for the TAVR program at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital (LCMH) in Lake Charles, LA. She has been in her current role since the facility’s TAVR program began in 2018. She coordinates patient care throughout the care continuum and collaborates with medical practices and departments throughout the facility to optimize patient care, provides staff education, implements changes for quality improvement, monitors TAVR coding and reimbursement and manages the echo surveillance program. She is the ACC/STS TVT registry site manager, also responsible for data entry and abstraction. Misty led the ACC’s Transcatheter Valve certification efforts to become the first certified program in 2019 and the first program to become re-certified in 2022. She is a member of the ACC’s Cardiac Surgery Leadership Council and the Accreditation Oversight Committee.
