Kristen Young, MSN, RN
Mrs. Young joined the ACC as a Clinical Quality Advisor in June 2017. She provides customer support and educatiom to participating sites of the STS/ACC TVT, CathPCI, and (the new!) CV ASC Registries. After graduating with a RN Diploma in Nursing from the Washington Hospital School of Nursing in PA, she began her career as a cardiology nurse working in an intermediate care cardiac step-down unit. Shortly thereafter, she returned to school to receive her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Waynesburg University and continued her career with over 14 years of diverse acute care experience including Trauma ED, Cath Lab and Electrophysiology. She transitioned from bedside nursing into roles of a Quality and Improvement Specialist (CMS and TJC) and NCDR Registry Outcomes Specialist (Chest Pain – MI and EPDI), where her passion to analyze and improve the health of cardiovascular patients fueled her purpose. Mrs. Young recently attended George Mason University in VA, where she obtained her Master’s Degree in Nursing in 2020.
