Joan Michaels, MSN, RN, AACC
Ms. Michaels is a registered nurse with extensive experience working in the cardiovascular area. Ms. Michaels is the director of the STS/ACC TVT Registry and the CHD IMPACT Registry. Prior to working at ACC, she held management positions at the Inova Heart Center in Falls Church, Va. She was also the Director of the NIH Cath Lab at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland. Ms. Michaels received her BSN from the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and her MSN from The Catholic University of America, Washington, DC.
Ms. Michaels lives in Maryland with her husband and has two grown children who live too far away from her. In her free time, she follows her beloved Red Sox, Celtics, and Raiders with passion.
