Karen Colbert, BSN, RN
Ms. Colbert transitioned to her current position at the ACC as a Clinical Quality Consultant in June, 2015, where she currently provides customer support to participating sites of the STS/ACC TVT Registry and the LAAO Registry. She started her career as a military nurse stationed at Fort Dix, New Jersey. After military service, she spent many years as a critical care bedside nurse specializing in cardiology in hospitals in the Washington, DC area. From 2011 to 2015 she was part of a Nursing Education Department working with a Registered Nursing (RN) Residency Program for new graduate nurses who are making their transition from a school environment to unit and floor nursing. She received her BSN degree in 1983 from the University of Akron.
