Patty is responsible for oversight of the ACC-NCDR Cath/PCI, GWTG Heart Failure, the SVS/VQI Vascular Quality and the STS Intermacs Registry for Ventricular Assist Devices (VAD). She has been involved with the ACTION, ICD and ELSO and STS Adult Cardiac Surgery Database registries.
Her background includes Cardiovascular step-down and CCU units, Cardiac Disease Prevention and Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation programs. She has over 24 years in Quality and Patient Safety. She earned her master's degree in Nursing Informatics in 2010.
In 2018 her team won the ACC-NCDR People's Choice Award for The Creation of a Physician Report Card for Risk Adjusted PCI Mortality.Previous poster included Comprehensive Strategy to Reduce the Incidence of Lead Dislodgement for Cardiac Implantable Electronic Devices and Strategies to improve Door to ECG Metric in the ED. The strategy to reduce lead dislodgement was published in the Heart Rhythm Journal. Also submitted for publication is the Incidence and Risk Factors for Premature Explantation of Implantable Loop Recorders to the Heart Rhythm Journal.
At the 2022 Vascular Quality Initiative National Conference the team presented both poster and podium speakers for Reduce infection in Lower Extremity Amputations and in 2023 a poster for Determining A Process Improvement Initiative in Lower Extremity Amputations.
A poster to improve door to ECG (D2ECG) time was presentat at the 2022 ACC-NCDR Quality Conference and at the 4th World Congress on Nursing and Patient Healthcare 2022 in London, UK.
In 2024 the team will present Reducing AKI in PCI patients at the ACC-NCDR Quality Confernence.
